Sperm-Hyaluronan Binding Assay kit, a diagnostic tool for Male fertility

The sperm-hyaluronan binding assay is designed to provide a qualitative assessment of sperm quality, maturity,

and fertilizing potential.

It allows you to distinguish between mature sperm that express hyaluronan receptors and those do not. Assessing

the proportion of sperm with hyaluronan receptors can then be used to decide which treatment is best for your patient.

Test principle:

Solid phase capture method. The mature sperm, having motility capability and hyaluronic acid binding sites
on the surface of sperm heads, contact with glass slides precoated by hyaluronic acid; then the sperm heads
could bind to the hyaluronic acid on the slides. The captured sperm by solid phase are restricted with athletic
ability; although their tails whip frequently, it is hard for them to swim forward. For the immature sperm, there
are no binding sites to combine with the hyaluronic acid on the slides. Therefore, no restriction to these sperm
and they can move freely.

Main compositions:

Pre-coated slides 1 kit 10 pieces /kit include 0.1 mg/well of solid hyaluronic acid

Glass slide covers 50 pieces

SHB specimen diluent 1 vial lyophilized powder
